Dear Basma,

I think you both are very brave women. You for airing it and that poor woman for giving so much detail.  I can imagine it would be dangerous, if either side of her family, G-d forbid, would find out…  So unfair, and so tragic…
If at all possible, Basma, please let her know that someone on the other side of the fence heard heard her story, and was really touched by it.  I am in owe of this woman, and I really think that her brave act is not in vain,  Because of women like both of you, these abuses will stop.  The impact that both of you have on the future of this planet is far, far greater than I can ever dream of.  I bend before you both in awe,
I have another personal interest in this story, I have many relatives and friends who are Israelis,  Naturally, I side with them.  But the stories like yours, told by a human voice, remind me, once and again, that there is so much more to the situation than “let’s just keep away from each other.”  There is a lot more human suffering. A woman, approximately my age, edicated like me, lonely (quite possibly as the result of the endless war we arefighting with each other), is violated, forsed to marry her rapist, and is humiliated by her new family.  Who ever you are, I hope all will turn out good for you. I applaud you, and I will pray for you.  Your pain and suffering are not in vain,
