A women’s rights activist from India, Srishti Bakshi, attended the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Action Award Ceremony. She received the ‘Changemaker’ award for “confronting gender-based violence” and holding over 100 workshops on women’s safety. (source: The Tribune)

Walk for a Purpose.

Bakshi walked 3,800 kilometers (2361 miles) through 12 Indian states to spotlight causes of violence against women and to empower women.
