Description

Women’s Voices Now is looking for a Film Collection Intern. Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the intern will support the updating, expanding and promotion of our free online film collection Voices for Change.  The internship will be primarily remote and take place between October 2024 and February 2025. the intern will be expected to work about 15 hours a week, with some flexibility with scheduling their hours.
 

Qualifications

– First and foremost, the intern should be passionate about women’s and girls’ rights, and believe in the power of film to effect social change.
– Ability to proficiently and fluently navigate basic computer tasks is required (emailing, typing, etc.)
– Ability to professionally communicate and represent Women’s Voices Now to external audiences is a required.
– Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and ask questions when unsure is a must.
– Ability to be flexible, adapt, and “roll with the punches” with a positive attitude is a must.
– Desire to be a part of a small, close-knit, and passionate team, working collaboratively at all times, is a must.
– A background or passion for filmmaking is a plus.

 

Background

Women’s Voices Now is a 501(c)(3) organization (WVN) using film to drive positive social change that advances women’s and girls’ rights globally.  We promote, produce, and share social-change films focusing on women’s and girls’ rights issues, providing active support to filmmakers who give voice to unheard women and girls, and activating civil society by moving audiences from empathy to action.  We carry out our mission with our film festival, a free film collection, a youth media training program (Girls’ Voices Now), educational community screenings, multimedia workshops, and an online publication (The WVoice).
