Synopsis

A transgender person is marginalized by her family and fears for her safety in public. To feel close to someone, she finds her family in her dreams, but even her dreams turn into nightmares.

Blobfish was an official selection of the 2014 WVN Online Film Festival and was awarded in the Experimental category.

About the Filmmaker

Ugur was born in Ankara in 1987. He studied Radio, TV and Film at Ankara University Communication Faculty (ILEF) between 2005 and 2011 and is currently studying for a master’s degree in film studies at Ankara University Social Science Institute. For more of Ugur’s work, visit his website.
