Campaign Reservation Express

Campaign Reservation Express Synopsis

In this documentary short, director Vandana documents a historic event in Indian democracy, when women marched across the country advocating for the Women’s Reservation Bill which had been passed in the Rajya Sabha but not yet in the Lok Sabha. The Bill proposed to reserve 33% of seats for women in national, state, or local governments, which would significantly boost active participation by women in Indian governance and help shape policy regarding women’s rights.

Campaign Reservation Express was an official selection of the 2011 WVN Online Film Festival.
